Turnaround is the time from approved proof or file to when the job is ready for pickup or shipment. Standard and rush differ by schedule and sometimes by cost.

Standard turnaround

Standard turnaround is our default production schedule—usually a set number of business days after we have your final file and approval. It allows us to batch work and maintain quality without overtime.

Rush turnaround

Rush means we prioritize your job and often add labor or shifts to hit your date. Rush fees reflect the extra capacity and scheduling impact. Not every job can be rushed; we will say so if it cannot.

Before you request a rush

• Confirm your real deadline (need-by date vs nice-to-have).

• Send final, approved files—rush is not for "we will send the file tomorrow."

• Ask for rush pricing and the date we can deliver; then decide.

Common mistake

Asking for a rush before the file is ready. Rush time starts when we have an approved, production-ready file. Delays in approval or file updates eat into that time.

How we do it at Print Wave

We give you a clear production date at quote. If your deadline changes, tell us as soon as possible. We will say if a new date is feasible and what it costs.
